From Fear to Hope
Lorine Aroko’s Journey

Toward Education and Confidence

My name is Lorine Aroko, I am 20 years old, and I joined STADA Kenya earlier this year as part of the Teen Mothers Program.

Becoming a mother at a young age was not something I expected. It came with heavy responsibilities and many challenges. At first, I felt shocked, afraid, and unsure of what my future would look like. I struggled with discouragement and hopelessness as I tried to navigate motherhood without direction or support.

STADA Kenya came into my life at a critical moment. With their support, I was able to complete my primary education, restoring my confidence and belief in myself. After finishing primary school, STADA supported me to enroll in vocational training, which I am currently undertaking. I also work part-time at STADA Kenya, gaining experience and practical skills alongside my studies.

Today, I am proud of the transformation I have undergone — from a frightened teenage mother to a young woman full of hope, confidence, and dreams for the future. STADA has supported me mentally, physically, and emotionally, helping me navigate motherhood with purpose and self-belief.

To all young mothers out there: do not lose hope. Life must continue, and we must believe that we have a purpose and a future worth building.

To STADA Kenya, thank you for believing in young girls like me. I hope this program can reach many more young mothers, so they too can have a future to smile about.
